What is the SilkPeel?
As a type of microdermabrasion, the SilkPeel has used an alternative to mechanical or chemical skin care procedures. By using a customized diamond tip wand, the SilkPeel gently targets the top few layers of your skin without the traditional abrasives of other microdermabrasion treatments. Once the top few layers of your skin have been targeted, your skin will naturally heal itself over the next few weeks— leaving you with smoother and healthier skin.
How Does It Work?
Just like with any microdermabrasion treatment, a SilkPeel’s main goal is to naturally encourage your skin to produce more collagen. By focusing on on the top few layers of your skin, a SilkPeel will create your skin’s natural response to heal itself and create newer, healthier looking and feeling skin in the process.
How Does It Vary from Other Peels?
Most microdermabrasion treatments involve the use of an aluminum based wand to puncture the skin. And although they are effective, they involve a little bit of recovery time. Because the SilkPeel uses a unique type of wand, it’s more gentle on your skin and doesn’t require any downtime afterward— meaning you won’t have to worry about having sore, tender skin to conceal.
