Grilled Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potato casserole may be a staple on your table for Thanksgiving, but it is also really high in saturated fats which isn’t going to do you any favors. When sweet potato isn’t covered in butter, sugar, and marshmallow, it’s actually really good for you and your waistline. In fact, sweet potato is really high in a variety of vitamins including Vitamin A.
Kale
Kale is low fat and high in antioxidants which are great at helping you maintain a healthy weight. Try trading in your traditional chopped salad for a kale salad that has dried cranberries and walnuts on it. Not only will it be a festive salad, but it will be low in fat as well.
Turkey and More Turkey
There’s no way that your Thanksgiving would be Thanksgiving unless you had turkey on your table. If you are going to load up on anything this Thanksgiving then make it turkey. Turkey is high in protein and really low in fat which makes it the perfect thing for you to eat. Just make sure that you don’t cover it with gravy or cranberry sauce and you should be golden.
Having a Thanksgiving menu that is low-fat and tasty can be a little hard, but these are three easy things that you can add to your spread. To learn more about how you can maintain your body contouring results, schedule an appointment with us at our Glenn Dale office and call us at 301.249.0970.
