Hand It To Yourself: Consider a Hand Treatment

hand treatment Glenn Dale, MDYou know the importance of taking care of your body by exercising, getting enough sleep, and eating right (minus that soda and cookie you had after lunch). However, as one part of your body that is used most but is often forgotten, your hands deserve to be pampered now and then as well. This article will discuss Callender Cosmetic Dermatology Center’s hand treatment and why you should consider getting it done.

Exfoliation

You know the importance of exfoliating your face to get rid of clogged pores and dead skin, but did you know that you should also be exfoliating the skin on your hands as well? As the most washed part of your body, your hands can get extremely dry. To get rid of that dry skin during your hand treatment at Callender Cosmetic and Dermatology Center, we will use an exfoliating treatment.

Moisturize

After your exfoliation treatment and actually during your massage, we will use a thick moisturizing cream on top of your skin. A moisturizing cream will act as a protective barrier between your hands and water which can dry them out and cause them to become chapped.

Massage

As the last step in your hand treatment, we will perform a deep tissue hand massage. If you spend your days doing things like typing or working with your hands, you know just how sore your fingers and joints can get. However, with a hand massage, you can break up the lactic acid in your hands and start to feel more comfortable again.

Getting a hand treatment from Callender Cosmetic and Dermatology Center is a great way to restore the skin on your hands while relaxing your joints and muscles. If you would like to learn more about one of our hand treatments or to schedule an appointment, contact our Callender Cosmetic and Dermatology Center.
