New Year Resolutions For Your Skin
- Posted on: Jan 15 2019
The great thing about the start of a new year is the ability to look back on the past year and reflect and make changes for the new year. Making a resolution to live a healthier life isn’t just about watching what you eat, it’s also about taking good care of your skin. If you want to make 2019 your healthiest year yet, we have a few resolutions for you to add to your list so that you have healthier skin
Protect Your Skin From the sun
The last thing that we want to see any of our patients for here at our office is skin cancer. Even though wearing sunscreen isn’t going to give you a guarantee against skin cancer, it’s pretty close. Make it your resolution to wear a sunscreen on your skin every day this year; rain or shine. When you wear sunscreen you’re not just arming your skin against skin cancer but you’re also arming it against sun damage like sun spots and sun damage.
Get Regular Skin Checks
Another resolution you should add to your list? Getting a professional skin cancer examination. In addition to wearing sunscreen to protect your skin from sun damage, we also encourage patients to come to our office every year for a mole check. A mole check will allow us to look at your skin to inspect it for any abnormal moles or concerns.
Get Treated For Other Conditions
Taking good care of your skin isn’t only about protecting it from sun damage; it’s also about treating it for other underlying conditions. If you have been putting off coming into our office for whatever reason, let us help treat your skin condition so that you have the healthiest skin possible.
Good skin care habits are a great way for you to have healthier skin in the long run. If you want to learn a little bit more about how you can have healthier skin, contact our Glenn Dale office and call us at 301.249.0970.
