Road Tripping: How to Keep Your Skin Protected While You’re Driving This Summer

Ditch the Convertible
Yes, you may get the parent of the year award if you get to drive with the top down on yoruconvertible, but you are also putting yourself and your famly at a higher risk of skin cancer. Instead, drive with the windows rolled up and you’ll have a lot more coverage.
Get Window Tint
Tinted windows won’t just make you look like the rich and famous, but they will also help to keep the sun out as well. Window tint is made with UVA and UVAB protectant in it which helps to keep your skin and eyes a lot more protected while you’re behind the heel. Just make sure that your tint meets state requirements so that you don’t get hit with a hefty fine.
Pack Sunscreen in the car
If you’re going to be sitting in the drivers or passengers seat on your road trip, you are going to be exposing yourself to more sun. Make sure that you put on some sunscreen and reapply it every few hours if you’re sitting in direct sunlight.
Road tripping is a great way to make your kids sit in a tight space with each other for hours and hours without any leg room. Okay, okay, road trips are a lot more fun than that. As long as you have some good tunes and a bunch of snacks, road trips can be an excellent way for you and your family to sit down together without the usual distractions.
